Aspen Aerogels, Inc. in East Providence, RI is seeking a Plant Support Technician IV (HVAC) to operate, maintain, and optimize plant utilities and HVAC systems in a manufacturing setting.

You will work with production and engineering teams to ensure reliable operations, perform preventive maintenance, and support building infrastructure. The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and control-system skills, with EPA refrigerant handling and LOTO expertise.

Qualifications

• One or more of the following certifications/licenses: Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Welding.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 8+ years in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Proficient understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Strong Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) knowledge and implementation.
• Able to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical plant utilities through PLC/DCS control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including RTUs, air handlers, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and split systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace motors, belts, bearings, compressors, valves, sensors, filters, and control components.
• Monitor HVAC performance and recommend energy efficiency and reliability improvements.
• Maintain refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA regulations.
