Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking skilled HVAC/R professionals to operate and maintain industrial and commercial HVAC/refrigeration equipment across ride buildings and support facilities in Orlando.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, including walk-in freezers, chillers, and BAS controls. You will mentor technicians, oversee contractor work, and ensure safety, reliability and efficiency across the utility infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience with commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems.
• Experience with building automation systems and chillers.
• Ability to supervise HVAC technicians and apprentices.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification and valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced HVAC/R maintenance, repair and installation site-wide.
• Inspect and service walk-in freezers, coolers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with the BMS team to optimize set points and schedules.
• Oversee third-party contractors and verify Work per permits.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain documentation for materials and contractor activities.
