Job summary

Draper is seeking a senior Industrial Engineer to support and evolve production operations in Cambridge, MA. You will apply IE principles, analytics tools, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and guide manufacturing decisions for complex systems.

You will analyze data systems to identify issues, develop tools for production scheduling and cost optimization, and mentor less experienced engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years industrial engineering experience in production/manufacturing.
• Experience with standard time data analysis.
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills.
• Ability to mentor others and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Support standards development and performance analysis for manufacturing.
• Build discrete-event simulations to optimize future production.
• Plan new production lines and factory layouts with facilities engineering.
• Develop capacity models and ramp plans for labor and capex.
• Lead line and workstation design using value stream mapping and line balancing.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive cross-disciplinary resolution.
