Job summary

Orion International seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer to enhance manufacturing performance, capacity, material flow, and on-time delivery using Lean and Six Sigma.

You will collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Program Management to analyze and improve factory performance, develop data-driven recommendations, and drive measurable results in Sparks, NV.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 6+ years of industrial/manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience using Power BI to develop dashboards and visualize data.
• Experience with capacity planning, labor modeling, time studies, work measurement, labor standards, line balancing, production flow, and material flow.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems and production reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and project leadership skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from analysis through implementation and sustainment.
• Understand manufacturing cost concepts including ROI.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize factory layouts, cells, and equipment to improve throughput and safety.
• Improve material flow and reduce handling and delays.
• Lead capacity planning, labor modeling, and line balancing for current and forecasted production.
• Conduct time studies and establish labor standards for standard work.
• Develop KPIs to monitor safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives and value stream mapping.
