Job summary

Goodwill Industries in Miami, FL seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer to lead the Industrial Engineering function, drive productivity, establish labor standards, and support factory layout, line balancing, and efficiency improvements.

You will oversee GSD-based SMV analysis, develop cost improvements, ensure pre-production readiness with BOMs and layouts, and lead technical training while supporting CI and Lean initiatives to cut downtime and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years in Apparel Manufacturing with technical leadership experience in engineering, production support, or maintenance coordination.
• Demonstrated experience in Industrial Engineering, GSD Management, automation, operator development, and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead Industrial Engineering to drive productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee GSD-based SMV analysis and labor efficiency optimization.
• Develop cost analyses to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Ensure pre-production readiness with BOMs, layouts, and resource planning.
• Lead technical training programs for operators and mechanics.
• Support CI and Lean initiatives to reduce downtime and costs.
• Analyze production costs and identify non-value-added activities.
• Drive automation opportunities and root cause analysis with production.
• Maintain engineering change control and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with HR on skill gaps and cross-training.
• Analyze production performance data and present findings to leadership.
