ZT Systems in Texas is seeking a Sr Industrial Engineer to drive development of industrial models and tools that inform manufacturing decisions, collaborating with stakeholders to roadmap changes in resources, infrastructure, and machines.

The role requires 2+ years in engineering, data visualization and MES/SFC experience, and the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable insights for manufacturing readiness and cost modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing environments.
• Experience with analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau, or equivalents.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn continuously.
• Ability to take initiative and drive projects with urgency.
• Competence in mathematical computing with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, R, Java).
• Strong presentation skills to simplify results and insights.
• Experience with continuous improvement / lean programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead IE activities supporting new product introductions and transfers, including capacity planning, labor modeling, line balancing, and readiness assessments.
• Support facility design, workflows, vendor coordination, and build-out of spaces.
• Support RFP/RFQ activities with analyses of capacity, labor, cycle time, and resources.
• Evaluate MES/SFC processes and propose improvements.
• Develop manufacturing cost models to inform business cases and launches.
