Job summary

Progressive Design, Inc. is seeking an entrepreneurial-spirited Senior Electrical Designer for a full-time, direct-hire role located in Midlothian, Virginia (Richmond, VA area).

The candidate will perform electrical design duties on heavy industrial projects, including power distribution, machine control, and instrumentation, while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy industrial electrical design experience.
• Experience validating NEC and NFPA code requirements in designs.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design duties on assigned projects including power distribution, machine control, and instrument/control design.
• Develop construction cost estimates.
• Create materials lists and obtain quotations for design components.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to allocate tasks and manage budgets and schedules.
