Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking an experienced industrial designer to join our new hardware design team, shaping space-security hardware from concept to production. This hands-on role centers on sketching, modeling, prototyping, and detailing real hardware with engineers.

Located near Long Beach, CA or Denver, CO with remote options within the US, you will collaborate with leadership to push the craft and deliver meaningful, mission-driven hardware at scale.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of hardware projects showing sketches and final parts.
• Strong surfacing and CAD skills across engineering CAD.
• Practical manufacturing knowledge across machining, sheet metal, molding.
• Space/Defense domain familiarity is a plus.
• Active security clearance is a bonus.
• Experience with visualization tools (Adobe Suite, Blender, Cinema 4D).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on hardware design from concept to production, sketching, modeling, prototyping, detailing.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to maintain design intent through packaging, thermal, structural, harness routing.
• Prototype physically and quickly; produce renders and drawings for executives and partners.
• Create renders, animations, and drawings to communicate intent to stakeholders.
• Bring impeccable design and artistic vision into all work to make us stand out.
