Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior in Indirect Tax within the SALT team in the United States. This role focuses on advising on indirect tax regulatory changes, supporting compliance, and developing strategies across state and local taxes for public and private entities.

Regular travel is required, with a hybrid work model and mentorship throughout the role. You will identify tax optimization opportunities, manage strategies, and support technology-driven improvements while building strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
• Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in tax legislation and impact assessment.
• Experience with indirect tax refund and recovery review.
• Proficiency in tax planning and optimization.
• Knowledge of audit quality and remediation techniques.
• Ability to drive process improvement and optimization.
• Experience in operating model design and analysis.
• Familiarity with data quality and accounting standards.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for tax optimization, credits, and refund recovery.
• Manage indirect tax strategies, compliance processes, remediation, and filings.
• Support tax process reviews and technology transformation to enhance services.
• Build client relationships and demonstrate tax knowledge within the financial services industry.
