Job summary

The Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis (IABA) is hiring a Sr. Community Support Companion to empower adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You will supervise staff teaching independence, coordinate services, and support clients in everyday tasks to promote autonomy. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or AA in psychology, CPR/First Aid and ProAct certifications, a valid CA driver’s license, and can pass a DOJ/FBI background check.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a HS diploma or AA in psychology or related field.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid and ProAct within two weeks of employment.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's license and provide current DMV record.
• Able to supervise and train staff, and manage client support schedules.
• Will pass a Live Scan DOJ/FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meaningful community connections and friendships.
• Teach independent life skills and support routines.
• Coordinate and arrange client support schedules and activities.
• Occasionally be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
• Assist in developing and reviewing the Individual Support Plan.
