Job summary

The Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis in Camarillo, CA seeks a Sr. Independent Living Skills Companion to support adults with developmental disabilities in their own homes and community settings. You will supervise staff and coordinate services to help clients live independently.

Responsibilities include facilitating community activities, teaching life skills, and participating in client team meetings; CPR/First Aid and ProAct training are required within two weeks.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or AA degree in psychology; background in developmental disabilities a plus.
• Must demonstrate honesty, respect, and professional work ethic; reliable and accountable.
• CPR/First Aid certification required within first two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meaningful community connections and establish friendships.
• Teach independent life skills and support daily routines (nutrition, self-care, money management).
• Increase adaptive behaviors and participate in client team meetings as requested by Management.
• Assist in developing the Individual Support Plan and provide substitutes as directed by Management.
