Job summary

Five Below is seeking an experienced inbound transportation manager to lead end-to-end domestic freight across TL, LTL, intermodal, and rail. You will optimize networks, manage carriers, and ensure service, safety, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with operations, procurement, and distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of experience in domestic transportation or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic freight modes and carrier operations.
• Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Strong analytical skills to interpret freight data and KPIs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in using TMS and related software (Manhattan TMS preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage domestic inbound freight movements from suppliers to distribution centers.
• Plan and optimize transportation capacity across TL, LTL, intermodal, and rail networks.
• Monitor shipment status and address delays, service disruptions, and exceptions.
• Build and maintain relationships with transportation providers and 3PL partners.
• Support carrier sourcing events, RFPs, and rate negotiations.
• Ensure routing guides and service requirements are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation with demand.
• Develop dashboards and analyze spend, service metrics, and trends.
