Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking an Experienced Scientist, In-vivo CAR-T, to be based on-site in Spring House, PA or Leiden, Netherlands. The role supports the formulation development of LVV drug products from early to late development, combining hands-on lab work with cross-functional collaboration.

Candidates will have a BS or MS in Life Sciences or Chemical Engineering with 2–4 years of relevant viral vector formulation experience, GxP knowledge, and strong data interpretation

Qualifications

• BS or MS with 2-4 years in Life Sciences or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Experience in formulation development of viral vectors and/or advanced therapies is preferred.
• Hands-on lab experience in drug product development of viral vectors and statistics.
• Understanding of process scale-up, technology transfer, and GxP principles.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and optimize LVV drug product across development stages.
• Perform hands-on formulation work including design, optimization, and characterization.
• Analyze data to support formulation decisions and development.
• Support formulation robustness activities.
• Contribute to scale-up and manufacturing readiness, including tech transfer.
• Collaborate with Analytical Development, Statistics, API, MSAT, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams.
• Document work and results per GxP and data integrity.
• Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
