Job summary

Gravitics in Marysville, WA, is seeking a seasoned propulsion engineer to lead the full lifecycle of an in-space propulsion system. You will own major fluid subsystems, drive design from concept through hardware integration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mission success.

The role demands 5+ years of mechanical or aerospace experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of propulsion/ fluid systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
  • Working knowledge of propulsion or fluid system components.
  • Exposure to propulsion design, propellant management, or testing.
  • Ability to understand structural, fluid, and thermal designs from first principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD/FEA tools like NX/NASTRAN.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test propulsion fluid systems and feed systems.
  • Own propulsion subsystem architecture from concept to hardware integration.
  • Lead system-level trade studies on performance, weight, power, and cost.
  • Plan propulsion integration and test campaigns across components and full vehicle.
  • Generate and maintain docs: requirements, ICDs, test plans, fluid schematics.
  • Coordinate with structures, thermal, avionics, and GNC teams.
  • Support environmental qualification and testing (TVAC, vibration, leak tests).
