Job summary

Service Experts LLC in Richardson, Texas seeks a Legal Counsel IV to join the in-house team and support daily operations and strategic objectives. The role reports to the Vice President - General Counsel and involves handling transactional matters, employment law issues, and vendor negotiations.

You will supervise outside counsel in litigation and collaborate with stakeholders across departments to mitigate risk and drive compliant business decisions.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Six+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house department.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Business-minded approach to legal risk assessment and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and provide post-execution support for business transactions (e.g., contracts, leases, licenses).
• Advise HR professionals and business managers on employment-related issues.
• Oversee disputes and manage outside counsel in active litigation matters.
• Provide legal guidance across multiple practice areas to support daily operations and long-term goals.
