NBBJ, a global design and architecture firm, seeks an Associate General Counsel based in the United States to lead domestic and international contract and project work. The role reports to the General Counsel and emphasizes education, mentoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across Finance, Marketing, and HR.

The ideal candidate has a JD, 15+ years of legal practice (in-house or law firm), strong drafting and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel internationally;

Qualifications

• 15+ years of legal practice with proven record in-house or in a law firm.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience negotiating contracts in Asia Pacific preferred.
• Transactional experience and excellent contract drafting/negotiating skills.
• Ability to adjust work schedule for China time zone.
• Deep experience in architecture/engineering/construction with AIA contracts a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and prioritize deadlines.
• Knowledge of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, HIPAA, and Federal contracting.

Responsabilités

• End-to-end domestic and international RFP process; provide legal advice, collaborate with internal groups, develop strategies, negotiate, and support projects.
• Prepare, review and negotiate client project contracts, vendor contracts, software licenses, and other business agreements with risk mitigation.
• Assist the General Counsel with claims management and litigation support.
• Collaborate with a highly relational legal team and project teams across Finance, Marketing and HR.
• Provide necessary legal and business research.
• Create clear and effective business correspondence, presentations, and legal documents.
• Create, train and advise on NBBJ’s policies and practices.
