Job summary

Custom Goods Logistics is seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to lead client onboarding from discovery and planning through execution and go-live in a fast-paced 3PL environment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, IT, Warehouse, Transportation, and Customer Service to deliver on time, within scope, and on budget.

As the primary contact during implementation, you will communicate proactively, manage expectations, and drive client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years in project management or client implementations in 3PL/logistics.
  • Strong understanding of WMS, TMS, EDI, and related logistics technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee client onboarding from discovery through go-live.
  • Serve as main implementation contact, manage expectations and satisfaction.
  • Develop detailed project plans with cross-functional teams (Ops, IT, Warehouse, Transportation, CS).
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate WMS/TMS with client systems.
  • Identify issues early and implement contingency plans.
  • Create training materials and lead sessions for teams and clients.
  • Capture lessons learned and standardize best practices.
  • Monitor implementation KPIs and present progress to leadership.

Job description

Essential Functions
  • Oversee the entire client onboarding process, from discovery and planning through execution, testing, and go-live, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Serve as the main point of contact during implementation, providing proactive communication, managing expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, Warehouse, Transportation, and Customer Service.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate WMS, TMS, and other logistics platforms with client systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify potential issues early, develop contingency plans, and resolve problems to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables.
  • Create training materials and facilitate sessions for internal teams and clients on new processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Capture lessons learned, recommend process enhancements, and standardize best practices for future implementations.
  • Monitor key implementation KPIs, prepare status reports, and present progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.
