Job summary

Octave seeks a Senior Implementation Consultant to join our team in a role focused on setup, installation, configuration, and customization of Loop Core and Loop Reference Data solutions to support client objectives.

The ideal candidate leads projects independently, mentors teammates, and travels up to 50%, including international destinations. This full-time position may involve onsite travel to customer sites and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in a consulting role within EPC.
• 5+ years of experience in COTS/packaged software implementation.
• Experience in materials management and specifications.
• Strong understanding of software methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Loop Core (Smart Materials) and Octave Loop Reference Data.
• Familiarity with Oracle Apex and Oracle Database Administration.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software implementation projects, ensuring delivery and client satisfaction.
• Work with clients to install, configure, and deploy Smart Materials software.
• Map data, develop process documentation, and train client users.
• Analyze requirements and show value of company solutions.
• Design solutions with workflow diagrams and specs.
• Improve solutions by modeling current practices and implementing best practices.
• Maintain procedures and user documentation; provide help desk support.
• Resolve routine client issues; offer alternatives.
• Prepare testing scripts and support unit/system/integrated testing.
• Partner with training to develop training materials and sessions.
• Provide technical consultation to sales, trainers, and support teams.
• Escalate technical issues to product/system integration teams.
• Provide feedback for product/process improvements.
• Assist with pre-sales activities and RFIs/RFPs.
