Job summary

AlphaX is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead complex estimating efforts for Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) projects in a specialty construction contracting environment. The role emphasizes independent bid pricing from initial review through final submission, with a focus on accuracy and competitiveness.

Candidates with 8+ years of direct construction estimating, strong IMP experience, and proficiency in estimating software and Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience in construction or related project management.
• Substantial Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) estimating experience preferred.
• Experience with cost analysis and bid development.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for IMP projects.
• Review complex drawings, specs, and bid packages to establish scope and costs.
• Oversee quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and installation costs.
• Evaluate requirements, identify scope gaps, and assess cost exposures for bids.
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes to validate pricing and bid competitiveness.
• Develop complete bid proposals with defined inclusions, exclusions, and pricing.
• Collaborate with GC, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve questions.
• Maintain consistent estimating documentation, pricing records, and bid reviews.
• Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and commercial competitiveness.
• Provide estimating guidance on complex IMP projects for solid pricing decisions.
