Job summary

Versiti, Inc. seeks a highly qualified professional for the Immunohematology Reference Laboratory. You will perform advanced serologic and molecular testing on clinical and research samples to resolve transfusion-related problems and provide the correct blood product guidance.

You will interpret complex results, contribute to validation plans, train staff, and provide on-call coverage as needed, while maintaining thorough records and ensuring compliance with FDA, CLIA, CAP, and AABB standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• 4-6 years in immunohematology reference lab or transfusion service experience required.
• ASCP MLS/CLS/MT or BB certification required.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, CLIA, CAP, and AABB regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced immunohematology testing on clinical and research specimens.
• Interprets molecular testing results when applicable to the laboratory.
• Writes and reviews validation plans and SOPs; leads updates to QSDs/SOPs.
• Trains new personnel and provides on-call and overtime coverage as needed.
• Maintains accurate and complete records and performs quality control testing.
• Reviews daily work and final IRL case interpretations for accuracy and compliance.
