Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a Professional Researcher in Molecular Imaging and Neurobiology of Neurodegenerative Proteinopathies to join the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases (IND) at Mission Bay. Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 5+ years of molecular and optical imaging experience in research settings.
• Experience with animal models of aging and neurodegenerative disease.

Responsibilities

• Procure, validate, and characterize ex vivo human brain samples and iPSC-derived models.
• Lead and train junior lab members; coordinate lab management and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with IND faculty to develop imaging assays and analyze data.
• Prepare manuscripts and grant proposals to support ongoing research.
