Catapult Solutions Group is assisting a leading data center platform client in finding a SCADA / Ignition Architect to own global Ignition design and associated OT solutions. The role emphasizes architecture, standards, enablement, and rapid scale with minimal hands-on coding.
The ideal candidate will drive a transformation from monthly to weekly Ignition rollouts, partner with PMs and engineering, and develop reusable standards and gold images to accelerate deployments across ~40 sites
Our client operates one of the largest global data center platforms in the world, spanning more than 20 countries and regions across the Americas, Asia Pacific, EMEA, and India. Recognized as a leader by top networking and data center analysts, the company operates as a neutral provider offering access to multiple cloud providers, a wide range of internet exchanges, and telecommunications network providers, including its own IPv6-compliant Tier 1 global IP network. Clients benefit from tailored infrastructure and consistent best practices in design and operations across a portfolio of reliable, scalable, and customizable data centers, supporting next-generation technologies in computing at scale, virtualization, data migration, and cloud and B2B private connectivity worldwide.
Our client is seeking a SCADA / Ignition Architect to own the global design and acceleration of its Ignition platform and related OT solutions across its data centers. This is a pure architecture role focused on maximum velocity, highest quality, and lowest cost, rather than day-to-day implementation. Hands-on keyboard time should trend toward zero, with the primary focus on design, standards, enablement, and organizational acceleration.
The Architect will partner closely with program management and engineering teams, continuously improving processes, standards, and partner utilization so that deployments scale without major production issues, snags, or rework. This role exists to help the organization move from roughly one Ignition rollout per month toward a pace of one per week or better, while eliminating waste in existing standards, best practices, and SOPs across the current install base of roughly 40 Ignition systems.
Success in this role is measured by how quickly the organization can roll out Ignition solutions globally without production issues or major setbacks, the inventiveness of ideas that compress timelines (such as gold images that cut infrastructure delivery time, or restructured partner accountability that offloads more work against existing SLAs), and the ability to keep personal hands-on time near zero while enabling the broader engineering team to execute independently and at higher volume.
