RTX in the United States is seeking a Digital Factory Software Architect to design, develop, and support advanced digital manufacturing solutions across multiple sites. This senior role enables scalable software development, reliable IIoT connectivity, and integrated data systems delivering real-time factory insights.

You will blend full-stack development, IIoT integration, and architectural leadership to deliver digital factory solutions, mentor engineers, and drive enterprise‑scale deployment

Formación

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Strong Experience building applications in Ignition (Perspective, scripting, gateway configuration) or similar toolset.
• Experience with Python, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and industrial communication protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and integrate digital manufacturing applications, including operator interfaces, dashboards, backend workflows, and automated logic.
• Build responsive web tools using Ignition Perspective and modern thin client frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python and SQL to support scalable data flows.
• Connect factory equipment, sensors, PLCs, and gateways using OPC UA, MQTT, EIP, and Modbus/TCP.
• Build data models, historian structures, and analytics pipelines for real-time insights.
• Define architectural patterns, reusable components, and system standards for enterprise scaling.
• Partner with manufacturing engineering, operations, OT, IT, and analytics to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and multi-site rollout using Azure DevOps.
• Lead technical investigations and ensure long-term reliability of digital factory apps.
• Mentor engineers and evolve development practices and design frameworks.
• Travel 10% of the time.
