Akamai Technologies is seeking a Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead test strategy for our Linux kernel components and AI/Compute platform. Based in Cambridge, MA, you will design scalable automated test frameworks and guide performance, reliability, and security validation across complex environments.
You'll mentor teammates, drive CI integration, and develop test suites for new kernel enhancements while porting Akamai modifications to newer kernel versions.

As a Senior II SDET, you will lead the test strategy for Akamai's custom Linux kernel, design scalable continuous testing infrastructure, and troubleshoot complex system issues to validate feature functionality and maximize the performance of a global AI and Compute platform known for its dependability.

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For U.S. based candidates only, the base salary for this position ranges from $146,400 - $263,600/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the U.S. will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
