Job summary

Castelion Corporation seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own manufacturing processes for igniters and pyrotechnic devices supporting hypersonic weapons. You will develop, qualify, and scale production from prototype to high-rate output, collaborating with Design, QA, and Automation to ensure quality and safety.

You will also drive DFMs, establish tooling, and lead optimization efforts across Midland, TX and Project Ranger NM sites, with a strong emphasis on process safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including scaling from prototype to production.
• Hands-on experience with igniters, initiators, or pyrotechnic devices in aerospace or defense.
• Proficiency in CAD and fixture design, plus process documentation.
• Working knowledge of explosives safety requirements and hazard analyses.

Responsibilities

• Own development and optimization of igniter and pyrotechnic manufacturing processes.
• Drive DFM/ DFA, PFMEA, SPC to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
• Author explosives SOPs and support hazard analyses and site planning.
• Implement ESD controls and safe handling for sensitive components.
• Define inspection strategies, partner with QA/Test for acceptance and NPI input.
