Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support IFATDS programs in the SEIT department. The role is onsite in Fort Wayne, IN with substantial travel (25%–60%). You will provide SME guidance on artillery digitized operations, system integration, and software enhancements across DCS/FMS contracts.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in artillery/Fire Support, a STEM degree, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to qualify for a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with AFATDS, Cannon Fire Control Systems, or MLRS Fire Control Systems.
• Familiarity with Tactical Operations Center activities and military networking.
• Typically 10+ years in Artillery/Fire Support operations.
• Degree in STEM with 5+ years relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver capabilities briefings for AFATDS/IFATDS products.
• Lead site surveys, reports and recommendations to management and end-user leadership.
• Support Program Managers with SME advice during pre-contract and execution phases.
• Develop new/enhanced system and product requirements including external system integration.
