Job summary

Sanford Health, Remote, NE, seeks a Principal Identity Systems Engineer to lead the strategy and design of secure identity infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud. You will drive the IAM roadmap, enforce least privilege, and ensure compliant authentication across hybrid environments.

The role requires deep expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, IAM governance, and PAM, plus strong security certifications. You will mentor engineers and work with IT and security leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in identity and access management.
• Hands-on with Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO/MFA (SAML 2.0, OIDC).
• Experience with PKI and IAM governance workflows.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PCI security standards.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, Security+ or CEH required.

Responsibilities

• Architect hybrid identity solutions across on-prem and cloud.
• Define IAM roadmap and standards for Zero Trust and cloud integrations.
• Lead domain/forest design and identity synchronization.
• Mentor engineers and develop security playbooks.
