Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Identity team to shape the identity primitives and governable agent behavior at scale.

You will lead complex projects across surfaces like MCP, CLI, and the Vanta Agent, collaborate with Security, mentor engineers, and help define what it means for an agent to act as a user\'s proxy.

The role requires 8+ years in backend development, strong data modeling, and a track record of building scalable services in fast-growing teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong knowledge of OIDC, SAML and SSO concepts.
• Experience designing scalable platform services.
• Proficient data modeling for complex relationships.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cross-team projects to scale our infrastructure.
