Baselayer, based in San Francisco, is building the most comprehensive identity graph of US businesses and consumers. Senior Software Engineer, Identity Graph, will own end-to-end features—from data ingestion and entity resolution to API surfaces and multi-tenant access control.

The role emphasizes performance, schema migrations, and scalable Python services in a production environment. You will work on a real-time graph stack, collaborate with a small team, and contribute to high-impact fraud

Qualifications

• End-to-end production feature ownership from ingestion to API.
• Managed a Postgres schema under live load.
• Strong async Python with scalable services.
• Deep Postgres expertise with zero-downtime migrations.
• FastAPI experience with auth and OpenAPI.
• Multi-tenant APIs with proper data-layer access control.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and normalize data into the graph and API surface.
• Build and maintain entity resolution and linking systems across sources.
• Design and ship customer-facing APIs for search, lookup, monitoring, and webhooks.
• Own schema design and zero-downtime migrations on a live database.
• Optimize performance for high-volume ingestion and queries.
• Implement multi-tenancy and access control at the data layer.
