Job summary

Steelcase is seeking a Senior Identity Engineer to architect our next‑gen identity platform, focusing on phishing-resistant authentication, Conditional Access, and privileged access management. You will lead efforts to retire legacy AD and design safe migration paths for modern directory services.

Qualifications

Substantial hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or operating enterprise identity and access management solutions.
Strong understanding of modern authentication and authorization protocols (SAML, OIDC/OAuth, FIDO2).
Experience automating identity work via APIs such as Microsoft Graph.

Responsibilities

Architect the next generation of Steelcase’s identity platform: phishing-resistant authentication, Conditional Access, and privileged access management.
Lead retirement of legacy identity technologies and AD migration paths.
Design identity for non-human actors including service accounts, workloads, and AI agents.
Build automation and AI-assisted workflows for provisioning, privileged access, anomaly detection, and remediation.
Partner with HR, IT, application owners, and engineering to make secure access the default.
Mentor engineers and set technical standards for the Identity Management Office.
Evaluate emerging identity technologies and run proofs of concept that shape our roadmap.
