Job summary

Interface Engineering, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Senior ICT Designer to lead ICT/MEP design across multiple projects.

You will coordinate with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and Structural teams to specify, draft, and design ICT systems including SCS, ESS, AVS, DAS, ERCES, Intercom, Master Clocks, Nurse Call, Paging, and Wi‑Fi. You will also conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, update drawings per architectural directives, and mentor junior staff, all while embracing Interface’s hybrid schedule

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience in Telecommunications pathways and spaces
• Design layouts for Telecommunications Rooms
• Cabling for Inside and Outside plants
• Audios/visual system design and signal flow
• Physical security system design
• Proficient in design phases (SD, DD, CD, CA, Closeout)
• Experience responding to RFIs and updating drawings per architectural directives
• Proficiency with Division 27 & 28 specifications
• Willingness to travel occasionally for projects

Responsibilities

• Lead ICT design projects and coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP, and structural teams
• Specify and draft ICT systems: SCS, ESS, AVS, DAS, ERCES, Intercom, Master clocks, Nurse calls, Paging, Wi‑Fi
• Ensure integration of ICT systems with project designs
• Document meeting agendas and minutes; communicate design requirements to owner/client departments
• Conduct site visits for as‑built documentation, due diligence, and site observation reports
• Mentor team members and manage multiple ICT projects to deadlines
