Job summary

HED seeks an experienced ICT Level Engineer to design and coordinate complex ICT systems at Chicago sites. This role operates with limited guidance, delivering design deliverables and supporting client communications on high-profile projects.

You will mentor junior staff, review QA/QC, and perform critical calculations for cabling distances and loads while collaborating with architects and other engineers. Hybrid work with in-office days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• RCDD certification required.
• 2–5 years of ICT or low-voltage design experience in AEC.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA/TIA, NEC standards.
• Proficiency in Revit for low-voltage design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop ICT system designs for complex projects, with calculations and documentation.
• Manage Revit models and low-voltage system views for project deliverables.
• Perform calculations for cabling distances, voltage drops, and equipment loads.
• Resolve cross-discipline coordination with architects and engineers.
• Support site visits, field reports, punch lists, and construction administration.
