Job summary

Mount Indie is seeking a Senior IBM MQ Engineer to support mission-critical messaging systems onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of IBM MQ infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.

You will configure clustering, high availability, performance tuning, security controls, and integration with applications, while mentoring teammates and documenting procedures.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of Unix experience.
• 5+ years of DevOps / IaC experience.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• US citizenship; dual citizenship not allowed.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure, including queue managers and MQ objects.
• Configure MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and high-availability solutions.
• Monitor, analyze, and tune MQ performance to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and assist with MQ integrations.
• Protect MQ security through access controls, encryption, and auditing.
