Peraton seeks a Senior IBM MQ Administrator to support a large, enterprise banking environment in the United States. The role focuses on hands-on IBM MQ administration, configuration, and production support in a secure, high-availability setup.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of MQ experience, strong Unix/Linux skills (RHEL/AIX), and familiarity with MQ components like queue managers, channels, and clustering. US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience across CS/IT fields.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ) administration.
• Strong Unix/Linux admin experience (RHEL or AIX).
• Experience with queue managers, channels, clustering, and distributed messaging.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (bash or ksh).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance monitoring.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM MQ environments for enterprise apps.
• Manage queue managers, channels, clustering, and message delivery.
• Monitor queue depths, channel status, system performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot MQ issues, including dead-letter queues and connectivity problems.
• Install, upgrade, patch IBM MQ and perform config changes.
• Administer Unix/Linux environments (RHEL/AIX).
• Develop shell scripts to automate tasks and monitoring.
• Manage MQ SSL/TLS certificates and security configurations.
• Support incident resolution, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Maintain technical docs and SOPs; participate in on-call.
