Adastra Resource Group is seeking an experienced AS400/RPG IV Developer for a hybrid Full Time role in New Jersey. You will develop, maintain, and support IBM i applications, balancing legacy fixes with new development initiatives on a stable system.
Ideal candidates have 4+ years of AS400/IBM i development, strong RPG IV/RPGLE, DB2 for i, SQL, and CL/CLLE, plus production support and troubleshooting skills. Excellent analytical and communication abilities are essential.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of AS400/IBM i development experience.
- Strong RPG IV/RPGLE programming skills.
- Experience with DB2 for i and SQL, along with knowledge of CL/CLLE.
- Experience with production support and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Preferred: free-form RPG, embedded SQL, APIs, or RDi experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance IBM i/AS400 applications using RPG IV/RPGLE.
- Work with DB2 for i, SQL, and CL/CLLE.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues.
- Analyze business requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
- Perform testing, debugging, and production implementations.
- Support application integrations, batch jobs, and reporting.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow development standards.
