Job summary

One80 Intermediaries seeks a Senior Programmer with RPG IV experience to analyze and resolve IBM iSeries issues, document findings, and guide effective solutions for business operations. You will oversee maintenance of the iSeries platform and lead projects from definition through implementation, ensuring efficient resource use and on-schedule deliverables.

You will collaborate across teams, apply creative problem-solving, and drive improvements in system performance.

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of programming experience in iSeries.
Strong proficiency in RPG ILE, RPG, CL, Query, DBU, SQL and DDS.
Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and independent motivation.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
WebSmart development tool is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design application solutions to existing applications, software and operating systems; maintain knowledge of system enhancements.
Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth operation of software and systems.
Work at the highest level of all technical phases of programming; leverage collective knowledge.
Gauge effectiveness of IBM iSeries systems and implement improvement strategies.
Design and develop procedures, both manual and automated, to solve business opportunities.
