Job summary

SAIC seeks a Senior Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) expert to lead training and serve as IAMD Syndicate Lead during Fleet Synthetic Training events for Carrier Strike Groups and other naval forces. Place of performance is San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas.

The role requires extensive IAMD experience, leadership of wargaming teams, and on-site delivery of training focusing on Aegis, TBMD, Link 16, and CEC. Clearance eligibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of IAMD military experience.
• Thorough understanding of IAMD Aegis, aircraft capabilities, and tactical employment.
• Familiarity with Aegis Baselines, SSDS, Link 16, CEC, GCCS, and OPTASKs.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a white cell for IAMD during Distributed Training Exercises with coordination across Strike Groups and naval units.
• Lead a team of eight wargaming personnel to ensure training objectives are met in realistic scenarios.
• Develop IAMD scenarios and integrated air operations to support CSG/ARG/MEU exercises.
• Provide classroom instruction on Aegis capabilities, Theater Ballistic Missile Defense, Link 16, and CEC integration.
• Liaise with Navy and Joint Centers of Excellence for SME support and current USN doctrine.
