Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a senior software engineer to help build the next generation IAM platform.

You will lead software development for authentication and authorization services, guiding design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance across the full lifecycle. The role requires 5+ years in software development, experience with large distributed systems, and a track record of mentoring and leading engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, technical lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team’s software development and work with peers on related teams.
• Ensure delivery of working software systems covering the full software lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance strategy.
• Design and review others’ work to ensure fit, extensibility, performance, and security.
