Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Atlas Identity and Access Management (IAM) team in New York City. You will design and build core IAM features, own end-to-end delivery, and mentor colleagues in a hybrid NYC-based role.

You should have 5+ years in backend software engineering, proficiency in Java/Go/C#/C++, and be open to learning JavaScript/TypeScript with frontend tech. Collaboration and curiosity are essential traits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, primarily backend.
• Proficient in a modern compiled language (Java/Go/C#/C++).
• Willingness to learn JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend tech (React/Redux).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to mentor engineers and collaborate.
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to solve problems.
• Experience with identity and access management systems (OAuth/SSO, RBAC/ABAC) is a plus.
