Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Senior IAM Control Sustainability and Assurance Specialist to strengthen control effectiveness, resilience, and audit readiness across Schwab’s Identity and Access Management program. The role involves translating requirements into practical control expectations and independently assessing design and operating effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, technology risk, control assurance, control sustainability, audit, compliance, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of risk and control concepts, control design, operating effectiveness, evidence sufficiency, assurance testing, and issue remediation.
• Experience improving processes through workflow design, reporting, scripting, orchestration, analytics, or automation capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Translate audit, regulatory, policy, and standards-based requirements into practical control and evidence expectations while assessing design, execution, and operating effectiveness.
• Partner with control owners, auditors, and leaders to identify risks, evaluate evidence quality, and monitor remediation.
• Establish repeatable procedures, validation checks, health indicators, and assurance practices to improve consistency.
• Advance automation and process improvements across IAM control and audit workflows.
