Job summary

Washington State Department of Ecology is seeking an IT System Administrator – Senior/Specialist to advance Identity and Access Management across on-premises and cloud environments, including Azure and Intune.

You will mentor Domain Administrators, align security policies with governance, and modernize the IAM architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid telework setup.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience and/or education related to IAM duties.
• Ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot AD, DNS, and GPOs.
• Experience with cloud IAM and Azure Entra ID modernization.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide Domain Administrators.
• Improve the security posture of Ecology's IAM strategy.
• Communicate Ecology's modernization strategy to Management.
• Assess Windows Domain Controller architecture and health.
• Assess Group Policy architecture and health; identify streamlining opportunities.
• Plan adoption of Intune-based policy management.
• Design and plan Azure technologies for cloud-native IAM.
