Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking an Identity and Access Management Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation for onboarding and access governance. This exempt, remote role reports to the Manager - IT Identity and Access Management and collaborates across IAM, applications, and infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IAM, strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python), and a customer-focused mindset to balance security with operational needs while delivering reliable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 5+ years in IAM engineering, architecture or equivalent roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to reduce manual onboarding for non-AD integrated apps.
• Automate user provisioning and de-provisioning for apps lacking RBAC or modern identity interfaces.
• Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve access workflows.
• Build and support RPA solutions to automate onboarding tasks.
• Identify and document manual onboarding processes to find automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with IAM, application, and infrastructure teams to align with security requirements.
• Ensure automated processes are auditable, repeatable, and compliant with access governance standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation workflows for reliability and accuracy.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for scripts, RPA workflows, and onboarding processes.
• Continuously evaluate new automation technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
