Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Engineer, IAM Directory Services within the Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) team to shape our enterprise IAM strategy and enable secure collaboration across acquired entities. You will influence identity architectures, oversee onboarding and federation efforts, and partner with business and technical teams to reduce risk.

The role emphasizes governance, cloud identities, and seamless access across multi-domain environments, with a focus on secure adoption

Qualifications

• 6 years’ information security experience, ideally as a Security Engineer.
• Experience with M&A, divestitures, or multi-company collaborations.
• Familiar with cloud and self-hosted security tools.
• Knowledge of Cloud Identity Providers and SAML/OIDC/OAuth 2.0.
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure and collaboration tools.
• Proficiency in Active Directory and related security constructs.
• Ability to lead integration strategies and influence peers.
• Knowledge of identity governance policies and least-privilege principles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business development groups through various stages of company relationships during M&A, etc.
• Support initial integration of cross-company communications and migration to AbbVie-managed devices.
• Serve as liaison between Identity team and stakeholders at strategic and operational levels.
• Provide advisory services to reduce risk and technical friction in transactions during growth.
• Lead onboarding and identity integration of newly acquired entities.
• Design and implement identity federation and trust models across domains.
