Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC in the Phoenix, AZ and Chicago, IL area is seeking a Senior Staff IAM Engineer to drive enterprise IAM architecture across cloud and on‑prem environments, strengthening access controls and operational resilience.

You will lead complex IAM initiatives, mentor engineers, define engineering standards, and partner with Security, Architecture, Risk, and business stakeholders to ensure IAM aligns with security requirements and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• Typically 12 years of enterprise IAM experience.
• Advanced expertise in IAM concepts: lifecycle, auth, authz, governance, PAM, directory services, least-privilege, RBAC.
• Experience designing, integrating and supporting IAM in complex cloud and/or on-prem environments.
• Experience leading technically complex IAM initiatives across multiple apps and teams.
• Strong knowledge of modern authentication and provisioning standards (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, SCIM).
• Experience with AD and cloud identity platforms.
• Experience integrating IAM with enterprise apps via APIs/connectors.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, engineering, and integration of enterprise IAM across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Serve as a technical expert for identity governance, authentication, authorization, and privileged access.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen security, resiliency, scalability, and automation in IAM platforms.
• Lead complex IAM initiatives involving multiple systems and stakeholders, managing risks.
• Define and evolve IAM engineering standards, patterns, and practices.
• Evaluate IAM controls and identify improvements for security and operations.
• Design identity lifecycle processes: provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and entitlements.
• Engineer integrations between IAM platforms and enterprise apps, directories, and HR systems.
• Develop automation patterns to reduce manual IAM work and improve control consistency.
• Mentor engineers and promote consistent engineering practices across the team.
• Maintain architecture and engineering documentation for IAM platforms.
• Participate in production support and on‑call rotations as required.
• Support risk management and safeguarding data integrity.
