Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineer in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid, 6-month contract with a leading Financial Services Company. The role focuses on security engineering across IaC, DevSecOps, and policy as code, partnering with leadership to implement scalable, secure automation.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of engineering, strong Wiz-based IaC governance, Terraform/Kubernetes security, and hands-on CI/CD expertise to drive robust security across pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent.
• 8+ years in AppSec/Cloud Sec/DevSecOps with Terraform and Kubernetes security.
• Hands-on Wiz for IaC in CI/CD.
• Policy as Code skills (OPA/Rego) or equivalent.
• Fluent CI/CD practices and Git workflows with scalable triage.

Responsibilities

• Consult to influence complex engineering initiatives and resources.
• Advise on strategy for complex challenges across multiple areas.
• Provide expertise to client senior leadership on engineering solutions.
• Design and tune custom IaC rules using Rego/OPA.
• Build automated tests for rules and reduce false positives.
• Tune IaC policies and roll out safe enforcement.
