Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, implement, and govern enterprise IaC and configuration management frameworks. You will develop Ansible playbooks and Salt states to enforce standards and reduce drift across hybrid environments.

The role requires strong CM expertise, Linux/Windows administration, and experience embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines. This position is hybrid, with on-site collaboration and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant infrastructure automation experience.
• Experience with enterprise IaC and configuration management at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern IaC and configuration management frameworks.
• Develop Ansible playbooks, Salt states, and automation artifacts to manage drift.
• Define and manage server, VM, container, and cloud resource states across hybrid environments.
• Architect CM strategies with scalability, compliance, and business continuity in mind.
• Build auditable automation pipelines for provisioning, deployment, patching, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and engineering teams to embed IaC in DevOps/CI/CD.
