Job summary

Allstate is seeking a hands-on Product Engineer for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to drive enterprise-scale automation capabilities. You will design, build, and productize reusable infrastructure solutions enabling teams to provision, manage, and operate infrastructure via code.

Impact spans compute, network, storage, security, and platform services across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has deep IaC expertise, experience with large-scale initiatives, and a strong software engineering mindset

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code principles and engineering practices.
• Experience with large-scale IaC initiatives and automation tooling.
• Strong software engineering mindset with maintainability, testing, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation solutions across omni-hosted platforms.
• Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation capabilities for infrastructure teams.
• Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or related technologies.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design practices to improve delivery speed, consistency, and automation quality.
• Understanding of security controls, governance, and risk management within enterprise automation platforms.
• Design and develop APIs and integrations that enable infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services.
• Drive CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery.
• Partner with platform product teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities.
• Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs for IaC tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
• Leverage cross-domain knowledge spanning compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infra services to deliver curated platform products.
