Job summary

Validus Energy is seeking an I&E Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across pipelines and compressor stations. The role requires strong measurement systems expertise and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in oil and gas with at least 5 years in I&E, experience with motor controls, relay logic, RTUs, and end-devices; NC regulations and OSHA guidelines knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of oil and gas industry experience required, focusing on measurement systems and program management.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Diagnose and repair issues with equipment, including both minor and major repairs.
• Calibrate and test instruments and control systems for accuracy.
• Perform preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to understand operation and troubleshoot problems.
• Operate and maintain test equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance; follow regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and contractors.
