Job summary

Eichleay, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Designer to support refinery, oil & gas and industrial projects.

You will develop instrumentation, controls and electrical deliverables while collaborating with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. The role requires 6+ years in refinery or related industries, an Associate’s degree in engineering or related field, and hybrid work with three days in Ferndale, WA.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Experience: minimum 6 years in refinery or oil & gas industries.
• Location: hybrid with three days in Ferndale, WA office and two days working from home.
• Knowledge: familiarity with ISA, ANSI, ASME, API and NFPA/NEC standards desirable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety and environmental issues; aim for zero harm.
• Deliver I&E design and construction packages for refinery and industrial projects.
• Develop instrumentation deliverables including Instrument Indexes, I/O Lists, loop diagrams, drawings, installation details and location plans.
• Develop electrical deliverables including single-line diagrams, grounding plans, panel schedules, lighting and UPS provisions.
• Coordinate design requirements across disciplines and prepare construction work packages for review.
• Support RFIs, site walks, and project turnover through commissioning and start-up.
