Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Mid to Senior I&C Engineer for a new nuclear fuel facility. The role focuses on hands-on instrumentation and controls engineering, developing datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and commissioning support.

The engineer will collaborate with process engineering, electrical power, vendors, construction, testing, commissioning, and operations to ensure controls systems are sound, maintainable, and aligned with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/controls/chemical/computer/mechanical engineering required.
• 5+ years of I&C engineering, controls integration, automation, testing, commissioning, or related regulated industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, controls integration, testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, control narratives, logic diagrams, and documentation.
• Support PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, SIS, alarms, interlocks, data acquisition, and controls integration activities.
• Review vendor submittals, instrument packages, control panel documentation, FAT procedures, software configuration, and commissioning deliverables.
• Assist in loop checks, calibration, functional testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Coordinate I&C interfaces with process engineering, piping, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, safety, quality, construction, and operations teams.
• Support field walkdowns, installation issue resolution, and design change packages.
